SBC Phase 0-4 — Australia

Toowoomba to Port Douglas.

Queensland coastal extension. From the Phase 0 corridor's northern terminus near Toowoomba, the Phase 0-4 spur runs north along the Queensland coast to Port Douglas, opening up Far North Queensland to the SBC network.

Phase 0-4 — In Planning.

Phase 0-4 connects Toowoomba (the Phase 0 corridor's northernmost major node before Brisbane) to Port Douglas in tropical North Queensland. The route covers significant distance along the Queensland coast and is one of the longer Phase 0 spurs. MMC-VB dual-leg two-deck — freight is the driver; maglev passenger rides on the upper deck at marginal cost.

Route alignment is indicative. The corridor shown on the project map is a suggested alignment based on the current planning case. Final geometry is subject to detailed engineering — terrain survey, geotechnical analysis, environmental and cultural heritage assessment, and stakeholder consultation will determine the final alignment at detailed design.

System-level engineering applicable to Phase 0-4 is catalogued in the Library. The Phase 0 corridor establishes the Newcastle Megafactory and the construction methodology that all subsequent phases inherit. Project-specific Phase 0-4 documentation will be added here as the engineering matures.
