Türkiye — Concept Stage

Türkiye — a network to the MMC standard.

6 corridors linking 23 cities, about 3,600 km measured city to city in straight lines (about 4,300 km built, at a route factor of 1.2), with 7 cross-border links and crossings. Istanbul to Ankara and the Iranian border on the Eurasian Spine, following the existing lines through Sivas and Malatya towards Lake Van, and from Van to Kapıköy and Tabriz, with the route between Tatvan and Van set at detailed planning; with lines to Kars and Erzurum, İzmir, Adana, Gaziantep, Syria, Iraq and Georgia.

The corridors.

Each corridor is listed below in order of its cities.

Routes are indicative. Corridors are drawn city to city, through the cities on the existing railway wherever a line exists: MMC corridors follow those lines, upgrading the line or running above it on viaduct. Where no line exists, the corridor is new build. Final alignments are set at detailed design by terrain survey, geotechnical analysis, environmental and cultural heritage assessment, and agreement between the nations they connect.

To initiate the programme in Türkiye.

The MMC platform is available to any nation building to the standard. If your government, agency, or capital partner could initiate a project in Türkiye: Make contact.
