The Levant — Concept Stage

The Levant — a network to the MMC standard.

8 corridors linking 28 cities, about 1,500 km measured city to city in straight lines (about 1,800 km built, at a route factor of 1.2), with 13 cross-border links and crossings. Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria: the coast from Gaza to Tripoli, the West Bank, Amman to Aqaba, and Damascus to Aleppo and Türkiye, with links to Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Jerusalem is a shared city, joined by links to the Israeli and Palestinian corridors.

The corridors.

Each corridor is listed below in order of its cities.

Routes are indicative. Corridors are drawn city to city, through the cities on the existing railway wherever a line exists: MMC corridors follow those lines, upgrading the line or running above it on viaduct. Where no line exists, the corridor is new build. Final alignments are set at detailed design by terrain survey, geotechnical analysis, environmental and cultural heritage assessment, and agreement between the nations they connect.

To initiate the programme in the Levant.

The MMC platform is available to any nation building to the standard. If your government, agency, or capital partner could initiate a project in the Levant: Make contact.
