Arabia — Concept Stage

Arabia — a network to the MMC standard.

14 corridors linking 39 cities, about 7,600 km measured city to city in straight lines (about 9,100 km built, at a route factor of 1.2), with 11 cross-border links and crossings. Riyadh to Jeddah, Dammam and Hofuf, the Gulf states from Kuwait to Muscat with Dubai joined to Oman through Al Ain, Iraq’s Development Road, Yemen, and sea crossings at the Strait of Tiran and the Bab-el-Mandeb to Africa.

The corridors.

Each corridor is listed below in order of its cities.

Routes are indicative. Corridors are drawn city to city, through the cities on the existing railway wherever a line exists: MMC corridors follow those lines, upgrading the line or running above it on viaduct. Where no line exists, the corridor is new build. Final alignments are set at detailed design by terrain survey, geotechnical analysis, environmental and cultural heritage assessment, and agreement between the nations they connect.

To initiate the programme in Arabia.

The MMC platform is available to any nation building to the standard. If your government, agency, or capital partner could initiate a project in Arabia: Make contact.
